Micaela Pirritano

Clinical Director & Owner

Micaela is a music therapist who founded InTandem Music Therapy in June of 2021 after completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Therapy at Capilano University. As part of that degree, she completed a 1000-hour practicum at BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver, BC. She is grateful to do this work with children, families, and young adults and believes that music can be a way of relating to the world and understanding the self in relation. Building a love of music can equip resilience, confidence, and promote a better context for people to navigate change. She is committed to providing the best practices to her work with her clients, as it is what everyone is deserving of. In her spare time, Micaela enjoys kayaking, film photography, interior design, and gardening. You can read more about her philosophy and approach to music therapy here.
